Dr. Kelly Anderson, LCSW

Solstice Therapy was founded by Dr. Kelly Anderson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the field of mental health for 14 years. She has worked in New York, Philadelphia, and New Orleans in areas such as foster care, inpatient adolescent behavioral health, alternative education programs and local independent and charter schools. Dr. Kelly received a bachelor’s of art in Human Services at Gwynedd-Mercy University and master’s and doctoral degrees in Social Work at Tulane University. She is certified in Disaster Mental Health as well as Safe Space Trained. In addition, she has developed and presented professional development on self-care and professional burnout, LGBTQIA+ best practices, social emotional learning, bullying and suicide prevention.

Dr. Kelly has developed skills in providing individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and community referrals. Her expertise includes working with pre-adolescents, teens, and young adults in treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, LGBTQIA+, grief, and trauma. She provides interventions based on building strong relationships, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
